About me

I am from a little city based in southern Italy, in Puglia. I'm the last of three children and I guess I'm a mix child of love. My mother is Italian and my father is American.
When I was Young I lived some kind of discrimination for my weight, my color my hair and I was always with the “unwanted” and so we started taking care of each other. Some of them have gone wrong ways and some took those ways because they didn’t even know they had other possibilities.
That is when I decided I wanted to study to be an educator, in Italy it is the figure that is actually in contact with the people that are part of projects, and they can work ether in organizations that make their own projects or in institutions like orphanage, juvenile, prisons…
It is not a social worker since it is closer to the people and a bit further from the papers.
So at 19 (2011) I left my home town and went to study in Torino (I am still in university) and signed up to “Scienze dell’Educazione”; and since I left I just went back home for short periods.
My choice comes from the will to make clear to everyone that in life we have a choice and that we should make no one define who we are.
I really like my field of studies even do I can see that it’s a work in progress and we still are missing a lot of theory and for sure our work is underestimated.
I think I am a person that cares about others but still I try not to forget myself. Many experiences have made me the person I am and I don’t regret any. My life has been sometimes a roller coaster but still I can manage myself without slipping away from the goal.
I really like to write poem, or short epic poems; I love music and it keeps me company every day. I like to watch movies (the slow ones, sometime heavy and I like diversity cinema, that can give a full windmill of the human kind) .
I enjoy the company of children and for my internship I have worked with a program called “educativa di strada” (street education) where the goal was to go straight on the street and try to engage in a educative relationship with the teens or the young children that live there. It was not an easy job but continuity and steadiness is what helps for this kind of work.
I enjoy going out and maybe party but I also like to be alone sometimes to get my thoughts together. I speak Italian as my mother language and English as my second “mother language” even if sometimes it’s not that easy for me to wright in a correct way. I love gardening and the filds work, because it gives me a lot of positive attitude the fact that i can see the products of my work in a fast way. i love building , manipulating objects , creating new stuff and specially iI love to work with metals, plastic rocks and all the scrapt matirial there is around.

Preferred location

I want to travel as much as I can: charishing my skills, the people I meet and the place I will live in.
I would like to visit South America and other countries that are not selected to learn more about life, myself and how to live togheter. Expending my capabilities by helping Others expanding theirs

Skills

I have long term experience in social fields, with children and elderly and disabled. I have experience with gardening, pets and horses. i have experience in teaching, i love art and I have some experience in community development
