About me

My name is Iman, I am 18 years old and I live in Bellinzona, which is situated in the Southern part of Switzerland, just 1 hour away from Milan (Italy). I have just finished high school and I am planning to take a gap year before I go to university. At the moment I am considering spending a couple of months in London (4-6) to improve my English and take part-time acting lessons.
My family.
My mum is Moroccan and has lived many years in France: since I was little I have always spoken French with her and I can say that my knowledge of the French language makes me bilingual. My dad is Swiss. Besides, I've got a younger sister called Jasmine. Our family loves to travel, spend time together and we are very interested in trying new food everyday. At home I speak Italian and French and abroad/online I speak English (really good level, with IELTS certificate) and German (just a little bit). I am very creative and like to spend time with children and help at home (cleaning, cooking, organising things,...). I have had many experiences with children, especially with my younger cousins (I would look after them when my aunts/uncles were not at home).
Me.
I care a lot about the environment and health: therefore, 3 years ago I decided to stop eating meat. At home we recycle trash and we try to eat organic as often as we can. Furthermore, we think it is necessary to buy fair&equitable; trade products in order to guarantee a right salary to farmers worldwide.
In my free time I like to go running, hang out with my friends and go to concerts. Besides, I love reading and watching movies that marked the history of cinema. Hopefully, in the future I will be able to travel as much as I can, because I really want to see new places and meet new people. I feel like it is important to enrich my "cultural baggage".
I really hope I can find a family/someone who could host me from October to January/March, preferably in Central London, since the acting classes I want to attend are all in the centre of London. It would be a lot easier for me.
