About me

I'm taking a gap year and I want to put my
skills to good use. I have just finished school, I am 18 years old, and
before I start studying biology at university I want to see more of the
world while gaining practical experience. My parents used to organise
horseriding tours in Spain, naturally I always helped them out and guided many hacks
by myself. I am used to working with tourists and have occassionally
worked in a hotel nearby. I
love working with animals, I am willing to do any type of job, from
cleaning, waitressing, feeding animals, washing them, cleaning their living
area, welcoming guests, showing them around, etc. Because I live in Spain I
also speak fluent spanish as well as english and dutch ( I'm belgian). My hobbies include horseriding, reading, painting and drawing.

Preferred location

It depends on the volunteering work where I go but I'd love to go to either Asia, Latin america or Africa! So a very wide range of possibilities.

Skills

I have worked a lot with horses, guiding horseriding tours through mountainranges in Spain. Due to this I have learned how to work in the tourist sector, I also worked occassionally at a hotel specialised in less- mobile people. Animals have been a great part of my life and I own horses, cats, dogs... Etc. After my gap year I am hoping to study biology.

I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.

I am getting my drivers licence this year. I am a pesquetarian, I do not eat meat but I eat fish. I am allergic to olive tree pollen but I have had treatment and don't suffer from it at all anymore.
