Hi,
My name is David and I have been backpacking for over a year now.
In that time, I have taken part in Camp America, looking after vulnerable children with learning disabilities. It was here that I helped them with washing, eating and organising events and daily activities for them to enjoy.
I have spent 5 months on a orange picking farm, where I have discovered new skills eg washing trucks, feeding animals, lime picking and orange picking.
Before I started travelling, I worked as a adult nurse in one of the largest head and neck departments in England. Here I was able to delegate and prioritise my workload, work under pressure and effectively communicate with my colleagues to maintain the best adequate care for the patients and make sure safe medical practises were adhered to.
I am also a qualified level 3 gym instructor, having undertaken volunteer work at local gyms, learning the correct exercise techniques and helping clients achieve their fitness goals through an exercise plan and food diaries.
I will travel Australia until October 5th 2017 and then I will travel New Zealand for 23 months until 2019 and the I will travel Europe for one year afterwards
I am a qualified nurse with 5 years experience in a cancer head and neck department.
I am a qualified gym instructor with a level 3 certificate back in England.
I have experience as a barman in numerous nightclubs and pubs with RSA certificate.
I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
