Though born & brought up in the USA by parents of European descent I lived in India for more than three decades; am fluent in Bengali and have translated a number of devotional literatures from the 16th Century. Mostly lived in villages and so am quite familiar with village life and customs. Also speak Brijbhasha (older than Hindi).

I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
