About me

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Hernán from Ushuaia. I'm an open minded person who loves to travel and meeting new friends on the way! Having a good laugh and deep conversations with people from different backgrounds and cultures are some of my favorite moments in life! I love Nature and animals and the countryside life, and in the same time, I enjoy exploring big cities attractions and its hidden sopts. My mind is based on creativity so I have a passion for all forms of art and anything that sparks my interest. I'm an experienced hospitality worker, after having been working for more than 9 years in hospitality, and as an artist, drawing and painting. Others activities I have done (and enjoyed) have been volunteering in animal care, gardening, teaching English/Spanish. Im now also very excited to apply my knowledge and experience, and to learn new activities! which is something I have losts fo expectations about with Workaway! I love adrenaline and doing things that make me feel alive!
I have travelled to many places in my life so far; walked on glaciers, climbed mountains, navigated lakes, rivers and the sea, I've done trekkings in many different places from Patagonia to the Brazilian jungle, Chile and Uruguay. I also visited many European cities and countryside towns, and drove from NYC to Provincetown, MA in the USA. Now Im getting ready for new experiences and I hope this time shall be even more special with Workaway!

Preferred location

I want to travel and experience american culture much more deeper than what I did during my last vacations there. I also want to practice my English more and in the same time have the chance to help the amazing people who will make this dreamed goal posible in the best way possible!

Skills

Hotel Front Desk Receptionist with over 9 years of experience in hospitality and turism. I've also worked as an artist painting murals, drawing portraits and sculpturing big scale figures. I have also volunteer in animal shelters and helped assisting a gardener. Afer living for many years in an island with a city surrounded by the wilderness, mountains and graciars, I'm very familiar with countryside life in isolated areas. I can handle very cold wheather and snow. I love to work with peple, for the people, and also alone, at any time of the day! (I have been a night auditor for many years, so I'm very used to night shifts).
