Preferred location

I am an American traveling/living in Mexico long term, I am interested in learning the history and language of Mexico and in working with my hands. I hope to find a place or project that I can be a part of and devote myself to, more than a place to crash while I see the sights (though this is welcome as well). I have some experience in construction, and I speak decent Spanish (intermediate I would say). I've just arrived after working on a fishing boat in Alaska for the summer, my first time, I am from New York, I love to learn, make friends, try new things and most importantly i work hard. I invite any hosts in search of such a volunteer to contact me.

I am a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
