The both of us are fluent in English and, of course, German. We know a fair deal of French and would be able to make ourselves understood if need be. Stephanie has lived in Turkey for a while and knows a bit of Turkish as well. (As a Latin teacher, Oliver is kind of fluent in this language as well, even though this will probably never be needed…) ;-)

About me

Hey folks,
we are Stephanie and Oliver, a couple from Dresden, Germany hitchhiking east to India or maybe further. We started from Dresden, went through Poland, walked and hiked through Slovakia without taking a car and enjoyed the beauty of the High and Low Tatra Mountains. In Hungary we finally were 'allowed' to hitchhike again and spent some time in Budapest and at the Balaton before going on to Croatia where we are now.
Let's see where the road will take us from here… On the (always open) itinerary are Bosnia, Montenegro, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, India…
We would love to volunteer along the way because we like to meet people like you. If you have hints, advice, recommendations where to go, what to see and where to volunteer, just write us a message.
Actually, we are both teachers, but we left our jobs to be students ourselves – and now we are curious what the world can teach us.
Next stop and stay:
Croatia in (at least) the second half of October.

Preferred location

We're slowly travelling (south-)eastward from Germany and want to get to India (or even further) without taking a train. Mostly, we hitchhike and sleep in a tent or find a host.
Since we like to give back some of the love we received on our journey so far, we would love to stay a bit longer in some places and help out there in one way or the other.
So, we don't have a route that is set in stone and are perfectly willing to deviate from the general route we have in mind, if an opportunity arises.

Skills

The both of us are teachers and, of course, are happy to help you with anything that has to do with German, English (and even Latin) language. But probably these aren't the most needed skills for volunteering on the road.
Stephanie grew up on a farm, so she knows her ways with animals and plants. Oliver is kind of good with computers and might be able to help in this area. As teachers we are both communicative 'people persons' who won't be shy around, say, guests in a hostel or something like that.
But most of all, we are willing to learn and will gladly help out with anything that needs to be done.

Additional info

I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.

Stephanie doesn't smoke and has a drivers license, whereas Oliver is a (moderate and considerate) smoker but doesn't drive.
