About me

I am a US citizen born and raised in NYC. My education includes a college degrees in Hotel and Restaurant Management NYCCC), Home Economics (Queens College), and. Masters in Science and Education Technology (Ramapo College).
I have traveled earlier in life to Europe and the '76 Olympics in Innsbruck. The trip lasted For 6 weeks with the help of a eurail pass and many hostels between Paris and Munich.
I am divorced and have 3 adult children.
I enjoy spending time at the beach, working in and around my home, cooking and baking.
I am a casual motor cyclist who still owns a 1980 Honda.
Being outdoors for skiing and fishing are seasons I look forward to enjoy.
Working with my hands is very rewarding to me.

Hello, I have just signed in to hobos today for the first time. I am a retired US citizen who wants to see more of our planet and learn about other cultures while helping folks along the way.
The fact that you are opening your home to guests is very generous. I would be happy to earn my stay without counting hours in order to make a contribution.
Most of my career has been in food oriented management positions. I have extensive experience in the kitchens of NYC hotels, airline catering, and frozen food manufacturing including 6 years in the Fillo Factory in Dumont, NJ.

Skills

I have always liked to cook and enjoyed sharing my skills and knowledge for the last 11 years of my career by teaching high school students how to cook safely while learning about nutrition and making better choices.
I enjoy home life and work at cleaning and organizing on a regular basis.
I am healthy and quite active. Working on projects indoors or out in the garden and landscape.
