About me

I grew up in a big city, but after finishing the university I went to the poorest State of Mexico to do my social service (practices before graduate) for 1 year. After that, I couldn't left the "rural life" and decided to study a master in Rural Develpment in order to understand life in fields with indigenous people and peasants. Nowadays I understand that charity it's a wrong term, and people aren´t "poor" as we think. I like to think that we could live in a fairier world if we could all take care of each other, with the knowledge we have acquired through experience or science.
I like to run, love my bike, love to cook, learn new things (especially from the ancient people), take care of animals & nature and defend their rights.

Preferred location

I'm interest about improving my english, so I would like to volunteer in any country where this language is spoken. I have knowledge in dentistry, undernutrition, food insecurity and povety.

Skills

I have studied Dentistry and studying a MC in Natural Resources and Rural Development. I like to be in rural communities attending people of all ages, where the health services aren´t assured, not as charity but as an act of solidarity. I grew up taking care of my grandparents (with Diabetes and Alzheimer), so I'm pretty comfortable with elder people, also have worked attendig indigenous people in highlands of México, and I love all kind of animals and nature. I like to work hard and do my best at fields, hospitals, or any place I could learn and make a change at the same time -at least for one life-. However, I need to improve my english and it would be awesome if I could volunteer at least 6 months - 1 year in a place with some of these features.

Additional info

I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have allergies.

I have big rashes to insect bites, and I'm lactose intolerant
