I'm retired Registered Nurse Midwife. Originally from Ghana West Africa. I’ve lived in the UK for over 40 years. Widowed and have a daughter and a granddaughter. Many years ago, I broke my tail bone and was incapacitated, my recovery was aided by volunteering in a therapeutic garden in Scotland for the disabled young people. I took to gardening since then and passionate about disability issues so, when I retired, I decided to create a garden in Ghana for the disabled and infirm. I wanted a very natural forestry kind of garden to foster relaxation, meditation, learning, play and healing. I've decided to spend quality time in Ghana from March 2024 to complete the project so the garden can be open for use. The job requires skill and hands-on experience in landscape gardening. A bit of challenge for newly qualified Horticultural students wanting to make a mark in this field. I’ve in the past worked in a multi- cultural environment in the UK, therefore, open minded and comfortable with people of all walks of life.
