We need 4 volunteers
We are starting a volunteers program in Yucatan and need your help to make the best experience. You will be living and working mostly in Casa LAN which is the autosustainable volunteers house we are building in Merida, Yucatan. The tasks will go from gardening, cooking and some construction tasks. But mainly you will be helping to develop the whole volunteer experience. We will be visiting Mayan communities in which we are currently working and develop the program for those areas as well. You will get to know the Melipona Bee, the mayan house and gastronomy. We are located 36km from the beach and we are surrounded by incredible natural, cultural and touristic activities.

Hi! I am Diego and I am starting this new project called "Casa LAN" following my dream of a more sustainable future and enjoying the process of it. I have lived abroad for some years and had the opportunity to travel to a few places around the world. This gave me an open minded and problem solving mind orientation. I believe that bringing fresh minds from around the world can allow us to bring solutions to local problems - thinking globally and acting locally. I enjoy sports, travelling, eating and specially having new adventures and challenges.
We have 2 private rooms (separated male/female), each one with two brand new bumper beds (really comfortable mattresses) and it's own private bathroom with hot and cold water. We have high speed internet and we have a great location in the city for transportation to the center and surrounding areas.
As part of the volunteer experience we will be cooking our own meals and we would like you to share your countries traditional cooking. We will use as much food as we can from our own garden (as we are just starting). But we will be eating mainly fresh fruits and vegetables that are grown locally!
We do not offer any money as we are starting this project, but we do offer a great experience and being able to help in developing a great program to make a change positive environmental change in Yucatan.
