About the workproject

We need 5 volunteers

An ever increasing number of people are now taking steps towards rehabilitating and rejuvenating the planet in a way that intends to reunite communities, heal the planet of the damage done, reconnect humanity with their source, their fellow living beings and each other, and to nurture this new state in order to benefit from all that is offered to life on earth, sustainably.
Our vision and aim is to create a better tomorrow for ourselves, our children, our community and our planet. Owl Feather Eco Farm has begun developing into a viable and accessible source of fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables to the residents, businesses, and institutions within the community. Owl Feather Eco Farm aims to provide job training and educational opportunities to the surrounding community in sustainable living.
We promote the importance of food choices, healthy diets and lifestyles, and education whilst fostering a sense of community by reconnecting people with locally grown foods and the land. Benefiting public health, the environment and sustainable community development. Supporting community economic, social, and environmental goals by utilizing operation and production techniques that minimize pollution and conserve resources and providing opportunities for job training and education.
The purpose of Owl Feather Eco Farm is to promote the production and purchase of locally grown foods and to demonstrate the viability and sustainability of food production. Its role as an integral part of the community landscape. To provide the community with access to affordable fresh produce, jobs, job training, education, community pride and communicating the social and economic benefits of sustainable farming and the viability thereof. As a small group of young innovative, dynamic individuals spearheading this venture, we would like to welcome like minded volunteers to help us to build this dream. Volunteers should preferably be (but are not limited to) men with good technical skills and knowledge in Permaculture would be beneficial. We are situated in the majestic George's Valley, close to the small town of Tzaneen in Limpopo, South Africa. The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities such as hiking trails through indigenous forest, adventure activities, a river and waterfall on the farm, mountain bike trails, to name but a few. Join us in the lush mountains and help us to bring about positive change.
