We need 10 volunteers
The IFLS School was founded in 2016 by Mr. Kreng Huy, an Cambodian Teacher of English language, and Mr. Sang Seok, a former Cambodian guide for loony time. Their vision was to give underprivileged Cambodian children the tools to build themselves a better future by providing them with free English language classes – an area which government schools lack in despite the English language being in such high demand. Together, Kreng and Sang opened their own school in the Cambodian city of Takeo , where it was managed by both founders until Kreng passed away in 2016. Since then, Sang has been managing all operations of the IFLS School, with the help of volunteers from around the world.
Students, Teachers and Volunteers
The school currently accommodates around 100 pupils. They are taught by three teachers, many of whom are volunteers who share Kreng vision. To aid the teaching of English, IFLS invites English-speaking volunteers from around the world to take part in the project. The volunteers support the students learning through practising conversation and occasionally by leading classes. They also offer help in other areas such as business, marketing, development of the school grounds and IFLS Tours.
In July 2017, sponsorship funding for the school is due to end. This means that IFLS will have to become completely independent. In order for the Director, Kreng, to fund the project himself, he has ventured into the travel and tourism industry. IFLS now runs bicycle and motorcycle , offering an authentic taste of Cambodian life to tourists in Takeo . The launch of IFLS tours also provides older IFLS students with work and experience of using their English language skills.
Improving children for a brighter future!
IFLS (International Foreign Languages School ) is an English language school providing underprivileged Cambodians with greater opportunities in life. In Cambodia, students who don’t speak English cannot progress through to higher education or enjoy higher paying jobs. Despite this, government schools teach very little English and many teachers charge a high price for extra hours of learning. Most families cannot afford these prices and therefore the child’s education suffers. Since 2016, the IFLS School has been providing free English language classes to Cambodian children of all ages, so that they can look forward to a brighter future. Based in the Cambodian city of Takeo, the school now has around 100 students, 5 teachers and hosts a range of volunteers from around the world.

I am single. I am 25 years old. I use to be a manager in long term. I open minded. And I happy to share the knowledges to the other.
The accommodation itself is part of the family home. Kreng's family are very generous, kind and friendly people. They will warmly welcome you into their home where you will feel very relaxed. :
* 2 x bedrooms available – each sleeping up to three people (one double, one single). The rooms are cooled by fan.
* 1 shared bathroom – this includes a toilet, sink and shower. There are two additional toilets outside the main building for the students.
* Shared living/dining area – This is where you will eat your lunch and dinner unless you wish to eat out.
* Outside kitchen – from here you will smell many wonderful fragrances as Kreng cooks up his delicious dishes. You may want to join in with the cooking to learn some Cambodian culinary skills.
* Family house – this is a perfect place to relax and have a drink in the evenings. You will probably be joined by the family dogs who are very gentle and playful.
We would like to ask you $4 per day. We send it to electricity, water, food, room.
We'll prepare lunch and dinner. But you'll prepare breakfast yourself.
We can't offer money for all working. But we can give us as Certificates as volunteers work.
