Old farm in southern Sweden needs help with carpenting, farming and gardening

About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

We are a family with two children living at home (our oldest daughter has left the nest) , since two years we are living on an old farm in south eastern Sweden. We have two ponies, chickens, dogs and cats. The farm has been empty for several years and we are now in the process of bringing it to life. The dwelling house is being renovated slowly by ourselves.

What we mainly need help with is to take care of barns and garden. The spring and summer of 2016 we hope to be able to grow even more vegetables, right now we are going to paint and renovate woodwork, windows and more. We also need help with clearing and cleaning the barns and outbuildings.

We can offer accommodation in a guest house and / or guest room with access to shared kitchen and bathroom in September 2015, April-June 2016 and August-September 2016 or as agreed.

The farm is beautifully situated with open fields and close to the sea. The nearest town is Simrishamn about 5 km away Malmo is about 1.5 hours by car or train. The place is very beautiful and a desirable tourist destination in summer, with wonderful beaches and nature reserves close by .
