Grab this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children! Join our Complementary Education Programme and assist with the management of classes in the favelas Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo. Lessons are held in the premises of our main sponsor, Caminhos Language Centre in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
For four days a week, kids ages 8 to 12 participate in three-hour classes. They engage in activities that bolster their English, social-emotional learning (positive discipline), and creativity (through sports, games, theater, and other physical activities).
Since we want to develop their academic and life skills to the fullest, we focus on teaching the same group of children for a long period. Mais Caminhos believes that the right balance of academic and emotional development combined with creative and physical inputs is a great way to prepare them for a brighter future.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-plan all lessons and prepare the classroom
Manage the classroom
Teach English, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths
Guide recreational, cultural and physical activities.

At Mais Caminhos we create an encouraging environment where underprivileged children and teens in Rio de Janeiro are treated with respect and have the opportunity to build skills and knowledge to empower them and pave the path to a successful life. We are proud of our contribution in fostering a generation of motivated leaders, full of passion for education, culture and respect for others. The youth at Mais Caminhos are given the tools they need to actively sculpt their futures, allowing them to live up to their potential without limitation of their backgrounds or economic conditions.
