About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

We have a 20 acre hobby farm in the heart of the Apple and Cherry producing area of the Adelaide Hills at Lenswood SA. We require some help with gardening, brick paving and painting along with maintaining fencing, caring for animals and perhaps helping in a small vegetable garden. My wife is creative and is working on an art project and is keen to have some help with that if possible too.. If you would like to help with any of these projects and you enjoy the great outdoors and would like to be surrounded by friendly animals and have a bit of fun too please contact us. Experience in any of these areas is not necessary, just a willingness to help and learn along the way. Our property is at the end of a peaceful lane within walking distance of Post Office, Church, Bowling Club and Primary School. Couples or singles welcome.

Robert and myself (Karen) live on a 20 acre farm at Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills. We try to live a sustainable lifestyle and enjoy the simple things in life. We are both well travelled having lived overseas for many years and therefore enjoy people from every culture. Talking, eating, socialising and enjoying each day is our main aim in life. Robert is very handy and can fix most things but with 20 acres there is always a need for an extra pair of hands or two. Karen is creative and loves to paint, do mosaics or recycle anything she can. Karen also loves to cook so bakes most days. (Plenty of food for all the hard workers). Fresh fruit and vegetables from our organic fruit trees and vegetable garden. Our property is inspirational because it's peaceful and unique. We are nestled in a magnificent valley with lots of koalas, birds, sheep, alpacas and kangaroos, Our farm is close to a number of beautiful country towns including Hahndorf, The Mt Lofty Lookout, Gorge Wildlife Park. Cleland National Park and the Big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha. Lots of walking and bicycle tracks along with hiking trails in the area. (We have 2 bikes that are available for use at anytime)
