We need 4 volunteers
We are seeking volunteers starting in January 2017. We are location on the Caribbean side 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo (surf town) and nearby Cahuita National Park. We own nearly 100 acres of land with a 40-foot waterfall in the rainforest canopy town of Buena Vista, close to BriBri. There is a three- bedroom home and a six sided kitchen with a two story gazebo on top for yoga. There are two affectionate Rhodesian Rhidegback dogs that are our companions. Cristo Morpho is Vermont public non-profit, which means were created to serve our members. We are sustainable spiritual community that promotes healing for ourselves and others through the spiritual path of Yoga, share circles, and service.
Volunteers can live and serve on our Buena Vista. Volunteers serve in the gardens, assisting in simple construction projects, cooking and cleaning. Our property in Buena Vista there are hundreds of fruit trees and gardens.
Visitors are welcome to stay in Buena Vista. We are seeking to make some tent platforms in 2017. Please check our website cristomorpho.com

Randolph C. Phelps is a native Vermonter and a resident of Costa Rica. He is the founder of the Vermont Non-Profit Cristo Morpho, which established a sustainable spiritual community located on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica called “The Cristo Morpho Community.” During winters, he directs the Cristo Morpho Volunteer Program. This is a Christ-based program that focuses on immersion in the community through individual service projects and fostering spiritual growth. In 2006 he purchased nearly 100 acres in Costa Rica, which includes a forty-foot waterfall in the canopy rainforest region of Buena Vista.
Randy’s was a wedding and stock photographer traveling to Alaska and Australia to photograph the natives and wildlife. His photographs have been published in various magazines and his poems have also been published in newspapers and the book Nothing hardly ever happens in Colbyville, Vermont by Peter Miller.
He has been a regular volunteer during summer months at various spiritual communities in upstate New York. He served in the wellness center at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck and assisted with mountain retreats at The Abode of the Message in New Lebanon. Randy is a certified Yoga Therapist, specializing in chronic conditions and restorative postures. He is an Integral Yoga teacher and a regular volunteer at Satchidananda Ashram (Yogaville) in Buckingham, Virginia.
There is a private room for men and women. Total in the house is 8. We are looking to build tent sites this year and camping will be available.
We take turns making meals. We eat healthy local produce from the farm and shop at local farmers markets. The meals are all yummy! Lots of Fruits and vegetables. if you have special needs we request you provide for them.
