About me

Hello!
Thank you for reading my profile.
My name is Cheryl, and I am a graduate in Fine Art where I mostly worked with wood (carving and making planters) and exploring movement, dance and music.
I have lived in Austria, UK and Portugal and have volunteered in organic, biodynamic and permaculture farms and communes. Looking back, I realised that I'm most happy around camp fires and singing and tinkering with instruments, being/jamming with people and creating music. Besides that, I am also content living in a quiet, rural area and keep myself occupied with reading, meditating and yoga.
I used to work as an urban beekeeper for a social enterprise in London and previously worked in teaching and private tutoring. I speak fluent German and English and some basic to intermediate French, Spanish and Portuguese and am eager to use them!
I think this platform is a wonderful idea in getting to know other people, seeing different perspectives, and exchanging knowledge. Travelling has really helped me in widening my horizon and most importantly LISTEN and not judge too quickly.

Preferred location

I would love to explore Southern Europe through hitchhiking and experience communal living for an extended period of time. I do not like to 'rush travelling' and hope to visit many places at my own pace.

Skills

I have studied Fine Art, where I mostly made stuff. I like working with wood and am confident in using machinery, tools and fine tools to carve. I am also experienced in metalwork (welding, soldering). I have previously volunteered in some farms where I helped weeding, sowing, planting and composting. I speak fluent German and English and speak some conversational Spanish, French and Portuguese which I would love to practice again! I have taught in the past (both children and adults) and am constantly striving to learn more!

Additional info

I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
