Preferred location

I'm a New Yorker looking to subvert the insane "must be broke to live here" system, so looking for something longer term.

Skills

I spent 6 months wwoofing around the country when I was 23 so I can wrangle a goat, weed a strawberry patch, cut down bamboo, etc.
I also know my way around a computer, have clocked many a year as a babysitter, and fancy myself a writer.
