My name is Chris Peel, and I am an enthusiastic student studying physical sciences in order to work in the renewable energy sector, ultimately in order to provide energy sources that can generate cheap and green electricity to parts of the world where it is currently unavailable and needed. I love traveling and have thoroughly enjoyed hostel culture during all my backpacking trips. In my free time, I play piano for a local jazz ensemble and combo, I work as a freelance writer, and setup outreach events in the community for developing entrepreneurial and networking skills.
I plan on traveling this year from mid-May to mid-August, and I want to go anywhere besides North America/Europe so the country does not need to be on my list. I love traveling, I'm very keen to meet new people and earn professional experience, so I will be flexible and I will work very hard.
I am studying engineering, but I have worked as a teaching assistant and in various hostels during my travels in the past so I am open to anything. I volunteer with construction-oriented nonprofits in my freetime, such as Habitat for Humanity or the Catalina Muñoz Foundation, and I would be comfortable with physical labor or anything involving a construction. My father owns a home-building company, so I've been around job sites my entire life. I also spend time in our local community garden to supplement my love of nature, and would thoroughly enjoy work outdoors.
I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
I am allergic to fish and shellfish
