About me

Dear potential hosts,
due to my profession as a social worker and my hobbies like playing theatre and doing music I've got experiences in group dynamics / working togther, communication, organizing daily structures and events / projects, teaching/ giving workshops with different contents, solving problems, empowering / sensitize people for their skills and resources, evaluation and reflexion.
What is sometimes difficult for me, is to realize my limits. But I'm working on it.
I'm a quite empathetic and social person who got a view for what is needed to be done. I spend a lot of time with reflecting myself and my behaviour and with being happy.

Preferred location

I'm going to travel in Ecuador and perhaps Peru for the next months. At least till May / June 2018. I'm looking forward to get the possibility to get to know the country while doing something practicle. I'm ready to use my hands!

Skills

After I finished my studies in Social Work in Germany in 2017 and worked till the end of 2017 as a consultant for drug issues, I wanna explore more my skills in working with my hands.
I've got no professional Training in any crafts but as I've renovated my flat by my own, taking care of a garden I share with friends and having spent lots of time of my childhood at farms and nature, I've got some experiences of what my hands are able to do and some knowledge about animals, plants and using tools and machines.
During my former Jobs as a helping hand of a stonemason, taking care of elder people at a hospital and of children at a home for children with special needs I know quite well both my body qualities and limits.
So improving my craft skills is my preferred task but I'm also open for other opportunities. The main thing is to get to know the country, the people and new sides of myself.

Additional info

I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.

From times to times I eat meat and smoke tobacco... but most of the time I'm avoiding it.
