About me

I'm pretty quiet and I tend to be a bit shy when you first meet me, but once I get to know you I can hold up my end of a conversation.
I studied math in university and have worked mostly in office jobs doing administrative and logistical work. I really enjoyed the logistics, which felt like solving puzzles. I'm between jobs right now and taking advantage of the opportunity to travel a bit before I look for long-term work again.
I love knitting, reading, hiking, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and listening to music (and I belong to the choir at my local Unitarian Centre, but I'm not going to claim that I actually know how to sing). I'm very good at filling my spare time with things I enjoy - while others may not always find them exciting, I am almost never bored. I am interested in sustainable living, although my housing situation hasn't permitted too extreme an adjustment in that direction yet.
I'm not very good at knowing what to say here, but I'm happy to answer questions about my life if you have any.

Skills

My work background is mostly in administration and logistics. I am taking some time between jobs to travel and would be happy to find something short-term on my trip to Portugal where I could meet local people and do something useful with my hands.
I am not an expert in farming or construction, but I grew up on a small farm and do have some experience with gardening, livestock, firewood, etc. I'm confident I would be able to do most tasks if you show me how you want them done.

Additional info

I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
