About me

I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I believe I am an enthusiastic and caring person. My working career of 25+ years was in the travel and tourism industry. I am no longer employed full time. I recently ran a guesthouse as well as taught English - on a voluntary basis - to foreign students. I love being creative and having purpose (cooking, baking etc) the outdoors, being surrounded by nature is very important to me, hiking, walking, swimming etc. I enjoy being around children and interacting with them - they are so smart these days and I learn from them too! I have 2 grown up children who are busy with their lives. My big love has always been exploring our planet and meeting people from all over and learning from them as hopefully they may learn from me. I have spent time in Spain on a few occasions attending Voluntary English conversational programs which was a joy!

Skills

I have been in the hospitality industry for most of my working career, i.e. Travel agent, Tour guide, Airline employee, Guest house running. English teaching to foreign students. I will be travelling to the US in February and Europe in March 2018. I would like to help in any way I may be needed. Thank you
