About me

I'm Charlotte, an English nursery practitioner currently working as an au pair in Finland. I am incredibly lucky as my job allows me to travel to and explore other countries, especially with my current family. I am currently enjoying the freedom of being young and without commitments and hope to travel as much as possible over the next couple of years. I am outgoing, enjoying trying new things and getting involved in other cultures. I am not one to stay in my hotel for the entire holiday, I want to be experiencing things as though I was a resident and not a tourist! I am hardworking and motivated to achieve what I set out to. In my spare time I enjoy working out, sightseeing and singing/music.

Preferred location

I am looking to travel through South America for up to a year and am looking to help out wherever I can so I can experience as much new culture as possible. I am hoping to spend at least a month at every volunteer position to get a good idea of what it is like to work in a certain community.

Skills

I am qualified in Early Years and Child development (0 - 7 years) and have a full CRB check that is available upon request. I am also currently working as an au pair so am competent in housework and gardening. I have previously worked in retail and would enjoy the social aspect of working with tourists in hostels etc. I would also enjoy the social aspect of meeting other volunteers so somewhere hostel or group based would be interesting.

Additional info

I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.

Although I currently eat meat, I previously lived in India for three months where I was vegetarian and am more than happy to do so again.
