About me

My name is Will and I come from Stratford upon Avon, England. I studied BA Geography at the University of Newcastle and achieved a 2:1 level degree. During my studies, I focused on the broad geographical themes of International Development, Globalisation and Population studies and explored how each of these areas are intertwined with the global economy and society more broadly. Since finishing university I have spent a significant amount of time living, travelling and working in South America as I place great emphasis and importance on speaking Spanish and building character through travel and new experiences.
Most recently, I have done a 3 month internship programme in Wine Tourism at Bodega Santa Julia (part of Familia Zuccardi) in Mendoza, where I worked as a tour guide and assisted with the sale of wine. Following on from this I have just completed a 2 month wine course programme at the 'Escuela Argentina de Vinos' in Buenos Aires to further develop my knowledge of wine and to gain more experience as I seek a career in the wine industry.
The thing that drives me the most is to do something in life that you enjoy and that sets you up to be able to live comfortably. At this stage in my life I highly value the benefits that can be obtained from working and travelling in a foreign country as I believe that placing yourself outside of your comfort zones in this manner has tremendous benefits for building for your future.

Preferred location

I have been living in Buenos Aires for 2 months taking wine classes at 'Escuela Argentina de Vinos'. I will be in Argentina until 24th May so I am looking to offer my help in return for board and lodging!

Skills

I have studied Human Geography to degree level focusing particularly on International Development. I have had volunteer experience working at a support school for under privileged children in Huaraz, Peru. I have a good understanding of the Spanish language and I am able to communicate without problem.

I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
