I speak English and German fluently. I can introduce myself and have a very basic conversation in Italian and Spanish. I live very near Slovenian border and I understand it very well and can speak a bit.

About me

Hi!
I am Fani (20) and I live in a student residence in Zagreb where I study Speech Language Pathology (Logopedia - 2nd year). Through my studies I volunteer a lot at kindergartens and primary schools and I love spending time with children.
In my hometown I live with mom, dad, brother and grandma in a big house in a neighbourhood surrounded by nature.
My biggest passions are travelling and arts; especially playing music, singing, dancing. I enjoy long walks in the city or in the nature.

Preferred location

I would love to volunteer in Spain because I would love to learn the language (with family, friends or classes in free time). The places and culture I have visited there so far amazed me so I can't wait to explore more!

Dear hosts,
I am a 20 year old student of Speech Language Pathology (Logopedia) at University of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences in Zagreb.
My biggest passion in life is music; I have been playing the piano since primary school (I have a music school degree), I played oboa for two years and I have been playing guitar since highschool. I am a lead singer of a vintage pop band "Trio Decoro" and we have concerts all over Croatia. In case your children are interested in singing, dancing, playing instruments, theatre or any other type of art I would be happy to practice with them.
I've been doing athletics for the most of my life, until the end of highschool. I've been taking Zumba Fitness classes. I have worked as a sports and children animator in "Valamar" hotels and resorts in Poreč, Croatia where I gained a lot of experience of working with children in various activities.
LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE:
I am fluent in English (I spent a year as a Rotary Exchange student in Barrie, Canada when I was 16 and I finished International Baccalaureate high school programme in English) and German (I lived two months in Vienna where I attended intensive German language courses and I learned it for 2 years in high school). I have a basic knowledge of Italian which I learned for a year in high school and Spanish, such as being able to introduce myself, ask for directions or have a really basic conversation. Since I learn languages very fast, I really wish to learn conversational Spanish as much as I can volunteering in Spain.
Also, I can talk to you or your kids in English as much as you want to in order to improve your knowledge.
VOLUNTEERING PREFERENCES:
I would prefer working with children or youth in the areas I marked, such as child care (playing, doing homework, helping with school tasks, taking them to school/kindergarten...), tutoring, practising English with people, helping with light housework...
I volunteer a lot at kindergartens and primary schools so I also gained a lot of experience working with children of all age and children with disabilities as well.
