About me

Campbell
I am 23 years old and passionate about nature and wildlife. I have been travelling around Australia (where I met Kirstie) and South East Asia where I spent most of my time in Borneo. I decided to buy a bicycle and ended up cycling 3000km around Malaysian Borneo and Sumatra. I greatly enjoy bikepacking but mountain biking is my preferred hobby, something I would like to do whilst in Central America. I am looking forward to really experiencing the area, and getting to know people, the environment and see the wildlife, flora and fauna. I am passionate about conservation and want to make a difference using the skills I have and also to learn more.
Kirstie
I am a musician and write my own songs. I am hoping to meet other creative people to work with. I am hoping to document my travels and tell stories through video and music. I am interested in the Art history, culture and spirituality of the places I visit. I am contemplative and like to have deep conversations.
I am friendly and hard working. I am passionate about food and like to cook. I love cycling, walking and when I am motivated I keep fit. I am looking forward to seeing wildlife in its natural habitat and meeting people of different backgrounds.

Preferred location

We will be starting our trip in Mexico, Yucatan peninsula and heading south through all of the central american countries to get to Colombia eventually.

Skills

Campbell - I have studied outdoor and environmental education and also have a level 3 in practical horticulture by RHS
I have worked self employed as a gardener and have also done woodworking for a joinery company.
I have worked as a chef, waiter, groundskeeper and in factories doing organising and production work.

Kirstie -
I am qualified to work with children and young people at Level 3 Diploma (UK) with around 6 years experience mainly with under 5s but I have also helped to run art workshops with under 11s and volunteered with young teenagers. Before studying Music I studied art and was an art and music facilitator/teacher for 2 years in a nursery.
I hold a degree in Music Performance and an MA in Songwriting and would love to facilitate creative workshops.
I am also studying for my Forest School Leader Level 3 Diploma (UK)
