About me

This account is for me and my partner Phil as we travel around South America. We are both friendly, young, adventurous Canadians looking to make more out of our vacation time then just being a tourist can offer. We are passionate about community, appreciate giving our time, and are incredibly hard workers. Through this experience we are hoping to find a placement that allows us to gain skills and learn new things, while getting to know an area more intimately and offering as much as we are able to. Give us a chance, we won't let you down.

Preferred location

My partner Phil and I are currently traveling through South America. We are looking to spend some more meaningful time during our travels getting to know some of the countries better. We hope to do this through volunteering. We plan on spending most of our time in Ecuador and Peru but are hoping travel to many more countries and possibly volunteer there too.

Skills

Phil and I come from diverse backgrounds, dabbling here and there through work, travel, and volunteering, in many different skill sets. I have an educational and working background in international development focused on small scale community capacity building projects. As well I am a certified yoga teacher. Phil and I both have experience in hospitality and customer service and a keen interest in farming, ecological sustainability and community. Furthermore, we are interested in gaining new skills and are open to volunteering outside of our skillset in order to learn.

Additional info

I am a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.

We do smoke, but by no means need to during the placement period ifif required.
