Gold Coast Hinterland, Queensland Farm Help required

We need 2 volunteers

Hi.We are new farmers to our area having just purchased 650 acres 30 minutes from Boonah and right near Maroon dam. We have owned a farm in Western Australia for many years before moving to Queensland. There is an old house fully equipped to stay in and we seek persons willing to do weed control chemical or manual, fencing and general farm clean up work, but also have fun, and you will have easy access to the beautiful scenic rim to explore and enjoy.

We are a friendly family of four, two teenage kids and divide our time from farm to living in the gold coast city where we work and go to school.

Our property is a beautiful property with access to National Park and Mt Maroon and lovely hiking trails and riding trails, we also have 4 horses to use by experienced riders.

The homestead is approx. 17 km from Rathdowney township which offers pub and general store and 30 min from Boonah and 45 min to Beaudesert which has all amenities you will need.

Lake Maroon is 5 min drive and offers water sports and fresh water fishing and Mt Maroon offers one of the best hikes in the area, people come from all over the world to camp and explore this amazing area. There is lots of wild life, creeks, mountains and fun to find. There are some lovely waterfalls/waterholes close by to swim in also

The house has simple amenities such as tv, comfortable bedding and basic mod cons, good mobile phone reception with Telstra unsure of other carriers.

We call it glamping! but its better than that, we supply home wise everything you need.

Prefer two persons at one time as home is only occupied by property owners part time so persons would be required to stay at property on own at times, but full help and contact from owners will be available. In saying this we spend as much time as work allows at the property and you wont find a more Australian family, you must have good sense of humour and not mind swearing, be willing to give things a go and enjoy a good BBQ and bonfire.

The property is easily accessed off main road so no 4wd needed but we prefer you have own transport so you can independently explore the area

Accommodation provided for 4 hours work per day, and food included but will have to cook for yourselves. Must have own transport. Work is unpaid other than accomadation and food. Happy for short-medium stays.
