About the workproject

We need 11 volunteers

We are a community located in a small village in the North of Germany, near Hamburg, that has grown over the past 30 years. Here you will meet many young people, work on a variety of projects related to the community, and have fun together! You can experience our community lifestyle through many different types of work: organic farming, taking care of animals (cattle, horses, sheep, donkeys, goats, pigs, fowl, etc.), construction work, gardening in our parks and flower gardens, cooking in our community kitchen, child care, and other types of help.
We have three years of hosting volunteers from around the world, and there are always at least 30 volunteers at any time.

We all work hard and expect you to put in the same type of effort. The work is satisfying for us because we do everything together, it is not for profit, and through the work we create something new, meaningful, and healthy. Our philosophy is based on working together, living together, evolving as a community, and enjoying life.
At the moment you’d join us building several eco-timberframe houses for living, you’d help working with the animals on the farm and in the kitchen (more than 100 lunch meals a day!), you can look after the children or help out at our residential care for children and youth with mental handicap or behavioural problems.
In March, garden season will start again with a variety of outdoor work to come.
If you are interested, we would be happy to get to know you.

No alcohol and drugs in/outside the houses and on the premises in general – we’re strict on that!

Don’t hesitate to send us a message!
