We need 11 volunteers
If you would like to spend time volunteering in Uganda we have opportunities for building, community outreaches on HIV/AIDS Awareness, organizing games and sports, working with women in crafts projects and teaching primary and high schools in English and Geography and other social subjects.
As a volunteer in this program, you will experience traditional Ugandan life and participate in daily activities such as visiting elderly villagers, construction and building, teaching children in outside classrooms, assisting in the setting up vegetable gardens, youth health talks, high school English teaching, feeding animals as well as health outreach programs and so many other activities.

I am Sandra Nakagiri, the Director of Beacon of Hope Uganda. Beacon of Hope Uganda is a community based humanitarian service and rural development organization founded in 2006 with a vision to help those least able to help themselves. To help achieve this vision, we are focused on a range of programs in Uganda, including: education, micro-finance and small business support, job skills / leadership development and training, health, environment and more.

Volunteers are provided accommodation in a volunteer house or in a homestay accommodation managed by us.
The accommodations are neat and clean. Accommodation is shared amongst volunteers on the ‘same gender sharing’ basis rooms. Wifi internet, warm water is not guaranteed.
The home is close to useful amenities like banks, ATM’s, currency exchanges, restaurants, cafes and shopping places.
Some volunteers are also provided accommodation in the project premises itself. For example - Volunteers working in orphanage project can be provided accommodation in the project premises itself in a separate room that is allotted for volunteers.
Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) are provided to the participants from Monday - Friday.
Over the weekends or evenings, participants are free to eat out and explore the different delights that Uganda has to offer.
Participants cover up all their costs to Uganda, including flights, visas, insurance and ground support.
