About the workproject

We need 1 volunteer

Situated in the beautiful Loire Valley, France, Moulin2Roues is an old WaterMill that we are restoring. The Mill is IN the river Thouet - we are surrounded by nature - and vineyards of course!

Part of the project is the establishment and running of an accommodation business - we offer B&B and hostel type facilities too!

We have lots of different tasks to do, inside and out - cleaning, painting, room preparation, washing, wood collection, gardening, plumbing, concreting, carpentry etc etc

Having renovated the water wheels this year, we are now trying to get our 10kA alternator working.

We also have a heat pump that we want to see if we can get it working.

We have a flour grinder that we are going to connect up to the mill mechanisms so we can produce flour from grain using water power.

What is there to do here?

At the Mill you can swim in the river (seasonal unless you are very hardy), walk, go for a bike ride (cycle routes at the end of the drive), sit on the terrace, fish (license required), watch the birds, sit on a bench and read - the place is very much about contact with nature.
