About the workproject

We need 11 volunteers

The Foundation Hubert Lemire (FHL) is pleased to host its 1st Annual Golf Tournament to help finance their next project in Haiti. The FHL works in schools in Haiti teaching the importance of planting trees and finding alternatives to cooking with wood charcoal. Children learn how to make their own briquettes made out of waste and then used to cook with.
We need volunteers to help make this event a huge success. It will be held on Saturday June 13th, 2015 at the Pine View Golf Course in Ottawa. Volunteers will be asked to help in various areas, including a silent auction set up, organizing the golf tournament and contests, setting up the hall for dinner and for a dance evening, etc.

I am the President and Founder of Fondation Hubert Lemire (FHL) which concentrates on helping re-green Haiti with school children.
I am originally from Sudbury, Ontario and lived in Haiti as a teen. Helping Haitians re-green Haiti and plant trees is a long term goal that I have set for myself and I hope to find some of you helping along the way as well.
