About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

Dear volunteers,
At this moment we are looking for a couple to help us out with the season preparations and possibly also to help us during the season as well.

We are Susan & Peter, both vegan/vegetarian. Susan is a great yoga teacher and vegan/vegetarian cook. Peter does most of the maintenance and is also a good cook and philosopher. There are two dogs and two cats, respectively Buddha, Gucci, Pieter and Lily.

You are more than welcome to come and live and work here for a while on this beautiful nature resort. Our main focus is on hosting this beautiful place for retreats workshops and for self-development.

On the estate are three large houses, our quinta 2 holiday homes and 2 tipis with a pool; situated on a breath taking landscape in this beautiful part of the Costa Azul in South West of Portugal.
This paradise found us and we would like to share it with like-minded people who have a desire to work in the nature and are interested to be there for mother earth and help us develop this place into an even more unique experience than it already is.
We are about 200 meters above sea level and only 5 kms from the city of Grandola and approx. 1 hr. and 15 minutes from Lisbon and 25 min from the ocean. You will be surprised by the abundance of the variety in vegetation. The land host fertile soil and the valley is enriched by fruit, nut, cork and olive trees. There are 3 natural water-wells, one of which is still from the Roman times. From this well you can see the water directly flowing out of the earth. It is a magnificent place to meditate or do your yoga practices.

We are looking for interested and motivated people with initiative; preferably with some experience- in carpentry, gardening, permaculture, traditional skills, woodcutting with chain saw, landscape design and solar knowledge. All year round there are things to do. Other activities are planting vegetables, general upkeep, picking fruits, nuts and olives, pool cleaning, painting or collecting fire wood. Online Marketing experiences are welcome too. If you have another skill that you would like to share with us please let us know!

Volunteers work roughly 6 hours a day, 5 days a week - the hours are weather depending. You will be staying in a tent or a large holiday home with two separate bedrooms, each for two persons.
During working days, food is provided. Sometimes we have dinner together and or you cook your own meals. We like to use lots of local produce, mostly vegan/vegetarian dishes. Help for preparing the food is also welcome.
WiFi is available.

How to get here?
You can easily take the metro (5 minutes) from the airport Lisboa to the ‘Oriente’ train station in Lisbon (platform 6). From there you take the train to Grandola, from where we will pick you up..

We are sure this will be an unforgettable experience!
If you make music or sing, please bring your instrument if you can…
We speak English, Dutch, German, French and some Portuguese.
Looking forward to hear from you…
