About the workproject

We need 11 volunteers

Are you interested in taking on a wilderness and nature internship in British Columbia-Canada? The wilderness Stewardship Foundation is located in the beautiful South Chilcotin Mountains 5 hours north from Vancouver, an area of great natural resources and outstanding natural beauty. You can enjoy one of our few remaining intact ecosystems in British Columbia.

We offer our interns unforgettable experiences and many possibilities to expand their knowledge in conservation, stewardship and sustainability; environmental topics like forestry, wildlife, water and range. Be immersed in our land management projects that delve into a multitude of areas, relevant to ecology. In addition, you will get involved in our western lifestyle and learn a lot about the life at a wilderness ranch which includes i.e the contact to our horses and observe wild animals in the backyard.
Furthermore, we offer the opportunity for you to write your bachelor-thesis is a related field.

Skills and responsibility:
Keen to practice English(verbal, written, reading), Ability to work on your own, Be a strong team player, Interest in working on large research projects, Working tasks for room and board, Interest to live in the wilderness, Come with suitable visa to do an internship or willing to go through the process to get a visa. As well as administrative assistance like creating databases, internet research, may be required.
