About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

ONE MONTH MINIMUM COMMITMENT. SPANISH REQUIRED. We are a couple in our late 60s from the U.S., both homeopathic doctors, who steward a gorgeous piece of land in Pucón Chile, 5 hours north of Patagonia. On our incredibly beautiful property, Ayun Mapu (Land of Love), we grow organic vegetables for our own use (large veggie garden, 2 small greenhouses), have sheep (a few dairy sheep), flower gardens, lots of berries, cats, dogs, chickens, bees. We need help from August through April with gardening, landscaping, and other seasonal projects. Volunteers are supervised by our caretaker and need to understand Spanish. Some knowledge of organic gardening and plants is important. You will be staying in a new cabin for two, cooking your own meals, and cleaning up after yourselves. (PREFER TWO VOLUNTEERS APPLYING TOGETHER) friendly, compatible, NON-SMOKING, mature (26 yo+, please), curious, willing workers that will stay at the same time. Interest in natural lifestyle, etc, would be ideal. You can have weekends off to hike, climb the volcano, etc, but you need to work sincerely and steadily during your stay. We have received so many requests that we ask that you only apply for dates that we are requesting volunteers. Thank you.

We are in our late 60s, are from the U.S., and live half-time on an island near Seattle, WA. We are homeopathic doctors, authors, and love to travel to beautiful places. Hiking, kayaking, gardening, cooking, animals, and making wonderful friends are some of our passions. Leading the Dances of Universal Peace and our spiritual pursuits add to the richness of our lives.
