About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

*We are very happy to have received many interesting request of wonderful people. Therefore we do not need any extra helping hands for the next few months* If you are available from August onwards, please do contact!* Thank you!

We are a group of enthusiastic people that are very interested in healthy and organic raw food.
In the Azores, on the island Terceira, we are starting to grow a large amount of fruits and vegetables that are originally from more tropical locations, such as South America. However, due to the unique climate of the islands, these fruits and vegetables also grow amazingly well here.
After harvesting, we cut, dehydrate, and pack the products in order to share this unique, healthy food with the rest of the world.
We would like help with the entire process; from washing the harvested products to packaging. Other activities, such as working with machines (cutting and dehydrating) are included, as well as manual activities.

Being part of our professional team will increase your consciousness about healthy eating and living. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the nutritional value of various foods and organic farming.
We are looking for people that are enthusiastic, motivated, and have and affinity with healthy food. Experience is not required, although a good portion of responsibility, independence, tidiness, and cleanliness is valued.
We are interested in a minimum commitment of 2 months and a maximum of 5 months. Because the harvest will be in December, we will start in the second week of January.
You will also benefit from the breathtaking nature of the island, through walking trails, horse riding, whale and dolphin watching, sea kayaking, jeep tours of the forested interior of the island, canyoning, and swimming in natural ocean swimming pools.
Terceira is known for its cultural richness, one of its cities is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Terceira has many traditional festivities throughout the year. The inhabitants of the island are warm and welcoming people.
