We are a couple from New York who moved to Quito, Ecuador in 2012. We purchased a family land that needs a lot of help to make beautiful. We want to turn it into an artist retreat and want to "hook it up" We are located in a small farm town 10min away from Mitad del Mundo. We want to start growing food, planting trees, and building wood furniture, etc;

Maria and Carlos. We have been together for 20 years. Maria is an artist, and Carlos a skater. We have dreams of living a more sustainable life in the country but don't have a clue where to start. We can grow a few things like onions, and potatoes, but want to learn more. Especially how to compost. We want to build furniture as well so we can do it ourselves. Ultimately we want to learn from someone who knows this stuff, and who would like to spend time in the country. There's plenty of beautiful sites to visit and allows for someone to travel on weekends.
There is a small house ( open space ) on the land with it's own full size bed, living room, bathroom and kitchen. It has a TV with local channels and we have ok wifi signals on property. We are 5min away from town with mini markets, and vegetable/fruit shops. It is very affordable to eat in this area $10 a week at most.
