February 4, 2021

Arjuna, one of the Pandavas who came after a battle, crushing the Yadavas, transmitted the news of the same to the eldest of the Pandava Brothers-Yudhistara, decided to withdraw and abdicate the throne, and all the Pandava Brothers, along with their wife Draupadi, decided to seek Lord Shiva's blessings and ascend to heaven after Lord Shiva had liberated them from their sins. The Pandavas took the same Har Ki Dun route to hike to the top of Mt. Swargarohini to reach the gates of heaven, so the road is considered sacred. This valley is called the "Valley of the Gods" as well.
The Har Ki Dun trekbegins from a location named Sankari, located in the scenic Garhwal Himalayas, and you will get to see the scenic Garhwal Himalayas right from the first day of the trek. The magnanimous mountains covered by the blanket snow make you go wow, you have to trek to Taluka from Sankari, it is a vast meadow full of wild orchids, throwing exotic fragrance into the air for the next 10-12 km to reach the next Osla campsite and another 14 km of uphill trek to reach the foothills of Mt. Swargarohini, once you reach the Swargarohini foothills, the Har Ki Dun is conquered.
